It’s disgusting how the QH industry rewards owners and breeders for breeding these “monsters” (a QH shouldn’t be 18.2 hands!), rewards them for getting them dead broke by age 3 for the futurities, and then everyone turns a blind eye when these horses are broken by age 10 and discarded like yesterday’s trash. And yes, I understand that this isn’t just a QH problem. It’s a TB problem, and increasingly a WB problem with horses being pushed to be GP by age 9 or 10. Something really needs to change, and fast.
